Low demand pushes house prices down

There hasn’t been a traditional spring bounce for the property market this year. The multitude of bank holidays and the ongoing economic problems have all hindered. Figures reveal today that house prices have dropped 1.1% in April.

Estate agents sold on average 14.7 in the three months to the end of May. House prices are continuing to decline, buyers are being cautious, in addition to this the number of people putting their homes up for sale continued to rise, with a balance of 15% of surveyors reporting an increase in instructions.

The average home is now £204,439 this is £4,000 down on the start of the year.
